SACO – A Buxton teenager died when her sister lost control of a Chevrolet Cavalier and collided with a pickup truck Sunday, police said.

Billy Jean Hethcoat, 16, was partially ejected from the car driven by Jesica Childs, 23, which crossed the centerline of the McKenney Road shortly before noon, said Sgt. Jeffrey Holland of the Saco Police Department.

Childs and another passenger in her car, Jason Glynn, 19, of Buxton, were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with injuries that were not life-threatening, Holland said.

The hospital listed both Childs and Glynn in fair condition Sunday evening.

Childs was driving east when she lost control of the car and collided with a 2001 Ford pickup truck driven by Roy Temm, 59, of Scarborough. Temm had a slight hand injury but was not hospitalized, Holland said.

Police said they were reconstructing the crash and had reached no conclusions about its cause.
