Maine racewalkers shine at NE championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Dirigo High School of Dixfield senior Jasmine Brooks finished third in the women’s 3,000 meter racewalk with a time of 16 minutes, 2.51 seconds at the New England Indoor Championships at Harvard University Sunday.

Mt. Blue of Farmington sophomore Jessie Smith finished sixth in her first 3K competition, recording a 19:33.32. On the men’s side, Winthrop senior Mark Dennett took fourth, walking a 16:15.43.
