Outlook: Indiana (Purdue) Fort Wayne is an independent team that has only played seven home games due to its non-conference status. The Mastodons bring a three-game win streak into Alfond Arena and are coming off a 23-point win over Wright State. Their record is deceptive in that they play a tough schedule with a lot of travel time. They have good height in the frontcourt, which Maine should be able to match up with. The statistical area that stands out in this game is each team’s scoring averages: Maine is averaging 73.6 points a game while giving up just 69.4 The Mastodons are scoring at a 68.6 ppg clip while yielding 76.1. Opponents are also outrebounding IPFW 36.2 to 32.4 per game while Maine averages 38.0 per game and UM opponents 37.8.
