ORONO – Beta Theta Pi, a University of Maine social fraternity, is holding its 10th annual sleep-out to raise money and awareness for Rape Response Services of Bangor.

Raffle tickets will be sold for prizes from Bangor businesses until Friday, Feb. 28, in the Memorial Student Union and the Bangor Mall. Winners will be drawn during the sleep-out.

The sleep-out will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and end 6 a.m. Saturday, March 1. Fraternity members will stay out on the lawn of their fraternity house, located at 12 Munson Road. Speeches by national and local activists against rape will be presented.

A bonfire will burn throughout the night. The public is invited to attend.
