The Penobscot County Friends of NRA is planning its fourth annual banquet and auction for May 10.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Bangor Convention Center on Hogan Road.
The banquet and auction supports the NRA Foundation, which has generated more than $40 million in contributions for projects that promote firearms and hunting safety, enhance marksmanship skills, and shooting sports.
The Penobscot County FNRA is accepting donations of merchandise suitable for live auction, silent auction, or bucket raffles.
Donations received before March 21 will be displayed at the FNRA booth at the Eastern Maine Sportsman’s Show in Orono.
