BERLIN, Conn. – Select Energy Inc., a power marketing and services subsidiary of Northeast Utilities, has been awarded electric supply contracts by the Maine Public Utilities Commission to serve large commercial and industrial customers of Central Maine Power and Bangor Hydro Electric Co. for six months beginning March 1.

The average price for the designated standard offer service during the six months will be 6.1 cents per kilowatt-hour in CMP’s territory and 5.8 cents in Bangor Hydro’s area.

The combined revenues of the six-month standard offer contracts are expected to exceed $30 million for Select Energy.
