High marks to Maine Attorney General G. Steven Rowe for telling Monsanto to go pick on someone their own size. In Maine’s struggling milk industry, the last thing milk producers need is for some corporate bully to tell them their honest practices are dishonest.
Monsanto knows that if they don’t squelch the will of small milk producers in Maine, other
milk producers might see that what consumers want is to be informed and jump on the BST-free bandwagon. If Monsanto decides to take legal action against Maine’s dairies, I hope Rowe holds the line.
