GUILFORD – Two Piscataquis Community High School students were injured Friday when the snowmobiles they were driving collided head-on on ITS 85.
Michael Edgerly, 16, and John Clukey, 16, were taken by ambulance to Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. Edgerly received arm and wrist injuries, and Clukey received rib injuries, according to Gary Grant, dispatcher at the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.
Grant said the approximately 3 p.m. accident occurred west of Route 15, and there was extensive damage to the two snowmobiles. Mayo ambulance personnel and Guilford firefighters assisted wardens at the scene.
