BANGOR – Forty teams, with nearly 600 cheerleaders came to Bangor on Saturday to compete in the seventh annual Wal-Mart Junior High School/Elementary State Cheering Championships at the Bangor Auditorium.
The 2003 champions included the Mt. Blue Cougars in the Class A Pee-Wee division, the Glenburn Chargers of the Class B Pee-Wee division, and the Lamoine Lions in the Mixed Division. Other winners were the Monmouth Mustangs in Class B Junior High and the Houlton Shires in the Class A Junior High division.
