WASHINGTON – Maine will get $5.7 million for first responders to train and to purchase equipment to be ready for bioterrorism and to respond in case of an attack with other hazardous materials.
Sens. Olympia J. Snowe and Susan Collins said the funding was long overdue.
Both senators said they would work to provide additional funding. The money will go to both state and local governments.
