The political climate in this state, led by the Democrats in Augusta with their anti-Bush resolution, has now seeped into classrooms across this state. The peace marchers and the liberal Democrats are creating an atmosphere built with misinformation, misguided loyalty and anti-Americanism.

These peace marches are nothing more than political rallies staged by the liberal left. They defend Saddam while vilifying our own president, our flag, our country and our military. Now they are harassing the children of our military men and women in Maine schools.

This isn’t about war; this is totally political. All Democrats in Maine, those elected to represent us and those who teach in our schools, as well as across the country, should be ashamed. I expect they will be spitting on our brave soldiers when they return home just as they did in the Vietnam War.
