Lindsey Snyder of Bangor, who swims for the Seacoast Swimming Association in New Hampshire, was part of a relay team that qualified for the U.S. Open in a meet this weekend.

Snyder swam the leadoff leg of the 400-yard medley relay in 59.67 seconds at the New England Seniors meet Sunday in Cambridge, Mass. The relay finished in 3:58.13, which is below the cut time for the U.S. Open. That meet will be held Dec. 4-6 in Federal Way, Wash.

Snyder also finished fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:06.15) and fourth in the 100 back (59.73).

Bangor’s Alicia LaFlamme was first in the 200 freestyle at the New England Districts meet in Hanover, N.H. Sunday. Her time was 2:11.85.
