BANGOR – The time is 200 B.C. The place is a street in Rome. The action is nonstop comedy as The John Bapst Players present Stephen Sondheim’s “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 21-22, at John Bapst Auditorium.
John Bapst students staged the musical once before, in 1998. Richard Fournier, who played Hysterium in the production, is now a history department faculty member at John Bapst.
Lead cast members are Cody Holyoke, Sean Snyder, Nick Borelli, Emily Picard, Lucas Perry, Kristan Stellar, Travis Carey, Ben Barrett and Tyler Yeo. The courtesans are Anna Reichmann, Elien Becque, Cora Hilts, Krystle Melanson, Angela Merrill and Alex Rand.
The Roman Guard are Sam Hill, James Peckham, AJ Stein, Alex Means, Corey Pattison, Chris Leavitt and Kyle Maynard.
