We are students in the third and fourth grades and we are concerned that the Camp Bangor T-shirts which we will be receiving will be made in sweatshops or using child labor. A group of students, of which we are part, are writing to the city of Bangor, which is buying the T-shirts, and we will meet with the finance committee to ask them to accept bids from companies that do not have sweatshops.

We believe that Camp Bangor is a wonderful opportunity and we feel very lucky to be a part of it. If other students feel as strongly as we do, we hope they will also ask the city to buy “clean” T-shirts.
