Just drive

Some states are trying to ban the use of cell phones in vehicles or make people pull over before using them. Dozens of people are on cell phones every day at intersections, traffic lights and stop signs holding up traffic because they get lost in their conversations instead of paying attention to driving.

Even worse, I have seen school bus drivers talking on cell phones when they’re dropping kids off to and from school. My wife and I have both driven school buses in past years and when you have 20, 40, 100 or even a couple of kids behind you, it takes all your concentration to know what they, as well as motorists, are doing.

We drove for a big bus company and they had radios in every bus so if you had an emergency you could call the dispatcher. As a parent and past school bus driver, I don’t think the drivers need to be talking on cell phones while being responsible for so many young lives.
