ALTON – The annual town meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Alton Municipal Building. The town’s expenses are predicted to be less than last year’s but selectmen will not know the exact mill rate until the school’s budget is supplied for the June town meeting.

Residents will vote to fill several positions. Voters will elect one selectman and one school board member for a three-year term, one school board member for two years, a treasurer, a tax collector and a clerk for one-year terms.

Residents may register to vote from 9:30 to 10 a.m. that day.
