Two All-Star hoop games set for Sunday

A pair of basketball games involving boys high school basketball players and the MCI Prep team will take place Sunday afternoon at Central Maine Technical College in Auburn.

The first game is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. tipoff and will pit a team of central Maine all-stars against a Maine Select under-17 team. The U-17 team includes players such as Ralph Mims of Brunswick, Mac Simpson of Cheverus in Portland, and Junior Bernal of Hyde of Bath.

The second game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start and features the MCI Prep team, which includes a number of players committed to playing at Division I colleges and universities, against an all-star team sponsored by Maine Basketball Report that includes Bangor’s Zak Ray, Ryan McLellan of Nokomis in Newport, and Westbrook’s Jason Hight.

Tickets are $5 with proceeds benefiting the Maine Select travel team.
