As I watched with much anxiety the war related stories and pictures being shown on television yesterday, I weeped , saddened and truly heart broken to see live pictures of Americans burning our country’s beautiful flag in Oregon. They were actually burning the symbol that gives them this right. How ironic.
We are at war. Time to stop the protests and rally around our country, our flag, our president, even though we may not agree with his course of action, and most especially our heroes – the men and women who are in harm’s way fighting for our freedom.
To those of you putting all this energy into anti-war protests, why not put that spirit and energy in a few more worthwhile efforts. Write or email a soldier, giving them your support. Get on your knees and pray for a quick resolve and their speedy, safe return. Give blood. Volunteer at a place of your choice. Hug your kids and hope they never face what these brave men and women are facing. God Bless America!
