BAR HARBOR – The Orquestra de Sopro of Campo Bom, Brazil, has announced that it will not be able to perform as scheduled at the Winter Arcady Music Festival. The reason given was a lack of promised funding from its government.

The funding, to cover the enormous expense of transporting the group from Brazil to Maine, was a critical component of the group’s ability to perform. The concerts were scheduled for March 22-26.

The group replacing the Brazilians is the Bottom Line Tuba Quartet, from New York. Ticket holders for the Brazilian concert may use their tickets at this concert instead. The concert dates have been moved as well.
