Greg Norton

Freshman Greg Norton of the University of Maine baseball team has been selected as the America East rookie of the week. Norton, a pitcher, has started his Maine career 2-0 on the mound with wins over Long Island and Fordham, allowing no runs through both games.

Jess Brady

Jess Brady of the University of Maine softball team has been named America East player of the week. Brady, a sophomore outfielder, leads the league in batting average, hitting .446 with 25 hits in 56 at bats. She also leads the league in stolen bases with 13 and is only five short of the UMaine single-season record of 18. She is third in the conference with 11 RBIs.
