Orono police arrested a 38-year-old man this week who was wanted on child molestation charges in Rhode Island.

Pawtucket, R.I., police alerted Orono police that Richard Francis Lisi could be found living in Orono.

On Thursday police found Lisi at 30 Austin Drive, part of the Forest Avenue trailer park. One of the first questions Lisi asked officers Nathan Jamo and Will Sheehan was whether they were there to arrest him, the police said.

The officers arrested Lisi on a warrant for one count of first degree and one count of second degree child molestation.

They took him to Penobscot County Jail where he remained Friday afternoon awaiting extradition.

Orono police Sgt. Gary Duquette said it wasn’t known how long Lisi had been living in Maine.

Bangor police gave a Glenburn man a free ride Friday morning after he reportedly punched out a glass window.

Just before 1:30 a.m., Officer Wade Betters answered a report of a burglary in progress at a Spring Street address. He arrived to find Sgt. Thomas Reagan detaining a suspect, 38-year-old Kenneth Farmer.

Betters said Farmer appeared intoxicated. He had bleeding cuts on his knuckles, Betters said, but claimed not to know how he got them.

Farmer said he went to the address to see his girlfriend, and became angry because he thought she was with another man. Betters said Farmer admitted to punching out some windows because his girlfriend wouldn’t let him in.

Officer Brad Hanson spoke to a resident of the building, who said no woman by the name of Farmer lived there. Hanson estimated the value of the window at $75.

Betters summoned Farmer for criminal mischief and gave him a ride to Acadia Hospital at his request.

A Lincoln man driving in Old Town allegedly refused to take sobriety tests after admitting to drinking too much Thursday night.

Old Town police Officer Todd Nadeau said he was driving up Center Street hill at about 10 p.m. when the truck ahead of him turned onto Jefferson Street without signaling.

Nadeau said he pulled the truck over for failing to signal. When the driver, 53-year-old James Carter, rolled down the window, Nadeau smelled alcohol.

Nadeau asked Carter how much he’d had to drink. Carter allegedly said, “Probably more than I should have.”

Nadeau said he asked Carter to get out of the truck, which Nadeau did unsteadily, asking, “Are you going to arrest me or what?”

Nadeau said Carter refused to perform field sobriety tests, but again said, “I drank more than I should have.”

Nadeau arrested Carter for operating while under the influence. Carter also refused the Intoxilyzer test at the station.
