Museum management focus of workshops

AUGUSTA – Maine Ar-chives & Museums will sponsor a series of five workshops designed to assist anyone interested in learning more about how to manage museums and their collections. All workshops run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are open to the public.

. Wednesday, April 9 – “Marketing Your Museum,” Colonel Black House, Ellsworth.

. Monday, May 5 – “Material Conservation,” L.C. Bates Museum, Hinckley.

. Saturday, May 10 – “Disaster Planning,” Aroostook County Historical & Art Museum, Houlton.

. Saturday, May 31 – “Collection Management,” Fifth Maine Regiment Museum, Peaks Island.

. Saturday, June 14 – “Historical Research,” Bethel Historical Society, Bethel.
