Mike Collar

Mike Collar of the University of Maine baseball team has been selected as the America East pitcher of the week. Collar pitched a one-hitter in a 2-0 win over Pace, striking out 15 batters, allowing no walks, and tying the school record for career shutouts with six.

Emily Kirkland

Emily Kirkland of the University of Southern Maine women’s lacrosse team has been chosen as the Little East Conference offensive player of the week. Kirkland scored six goals to help power the Huskies to their first win in four games with a 17-1 win over Salem State.

Jason Folsom

Jason Folsom, a junior catcher for Husson College, has been named the Webber Energy Player of the Week. Folsom had 18 hits in 41 at-bats to drive in 14 runs during Husson’s spring trip and has a .439 batting average.

Sam Michaud

Sam Michaud of the University of Maine-Presque Isle baseball team has been selected as the Webber Energy pitcher of the week. Michaud struck out six and gave up only two runs against Valdosta State.

Boonthai Singcharen

Boonthai Singcharen of the University of Southern Maine has been named the Little East Conference player of the week. Singcharen, a junior, posted a three-set win over his Colby opponent, losing the first set 3-6 he took the middle frame in a tie-breaker and won the final set 6-2.
