BALDWIN – A Baldwin man was killed Friday afternoon when his car crossed the center line of Route 107 and collided with a lumber delivery truck.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. David Hall identified the victim as Chester Phillips, 64.

Investigators said police had received several calls shortly before the accident to report a Subaru, the type of car driven by Phillips, that was driving erratically.

Authorities said Phillips suffered from diabetes and that his condition may have contributed to the accident.

The driver of the truck was not injured, Hall said.
