High court names 3 to advisory panel

PORTLAND – The Maine Supreme Judicial Court has appointed Anne-Marie Storey of Bangor and reappointed David R. Beneman of Scarborough and Kevin M. Cuddy of Bangor to its Advisory Committee on Rules of Evidence, which advises the court on proposed changes to the Maine Rules of Evidence.

Storey began work at the Bangor law firm of Rudman & Winchell in January 1999, became a partner in that firm on January 1, 2003. A former Peace Corps volunteer, Storey focuses her practice on employment law.

Beneman has been a partner and shareholder at Levenson, Vickerson & Beneman, a Portland law firm, since 1986 and focuses his practice on representing the rights of individuals in both state and federal courts, primarily in the areas of criminal defense, personal injuries and employment disputes.

Cuddy is a former U.S. attorney, past president of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, current president of the Maine Bar Foundation, and a member of the Bangor law firm of Cuddy & Lanham.
