BLUE HILL – Chris Sargent had three singles and drove in two runs Wednesday afternoon as the George Stevens Academy baseball team cruised to a 14-2 win over Piscataquis of Guilford in the season opener for both teams.

Chris Candage singled and drove in four runs for the winners, and Tony Conroy had a two-run single for the Eagles.

Josh Luellen singled twice and Dan Macomber had a single for the Pirates.

At Rockland, Adam Ross and Ben Dole combined on a two-hitter to lead the Tigers to the win.

At Sabattus, Kyle Lunn singled, doubled and drove in a run as the Raiders knocked off the Huskies.

Kyle Harrington had a two-run single and Nate Eaton added a single and a double for Oak Hill.

Jake Lasselle ripped a double for the MCI of Pittsfield.
