BANGOR – The Calix Society has announced the formation of the Calix-Bangor Unit. The Calix Society is a fellowship of Catholic men and women, and other people of good will, who, while continuing to accept God’s ongoing and life giving gift of sobriety, through affiliation with and participation in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, wish to nurture their spiritual journey and improve their conscious contact with God in the context of their Catholic faith.

The first monthly meeting of the Calix Society-Bangor Unit will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at St. Joseph Hospital, Conference Room 2. Individuals are encouraged to join in a celebration of the Mass in the hospital chapel before the meeting. Mass begins at 7:45 a.m.
