Gary Walker, the director of the Centers of [Soccer] Excellence, said two of his Eastern Maine players hope to play college soccer in the fall.

Bangor High School forward Jenn Towne will attend Lee University (Tenn.) and Waterville High striker Joe Spofford will attend Rhode Island.
