PITTSFIELD – Brandon Drapeau’s RBI single in the seventh plated Mike Buckley for the winning run as Maranacook of Readfield edged Maine Central Institute 9-8 in baseball action Friday.
Buckley reached on a triple, his third hit to go with a double and a single and one RBI. Drapeau also doubled for the Black Bears. Eben Gilman singled twice.
Andrew Depethune and Jeremy West of Maine Central Institute each hit a double and a single for two RBIs. Jake Lasselle tripled and Ryan Kennedy added two singles and an RBI.

At Harrington, Joe Leighton hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to end the game and give the win to Narraguagus.
Leighton had a home run and a pair of single with five RBIs for Narraguagus. Cory Worcester gave up only one run on four hits and struck out six through six innings.
Brian Millay singled in Chase Ross to score Machias’ run in the fourth inning.

At Rockland, Wes Drinkwater singled, doubled and knocked in three runs as the Tigers rolled.
Mike Curtis rapped a double and a single and got the win on the mound for Rockland. Adam Ross added a double and Josh Davis two singles.
Joe Clark notched two singles and a double to lead the Eagles of Newcastle. Pat Howell had a single plus a double.

At Waldoboro, Carlos Adolphson rapped a triple to start a two-run fifth inning rally that won the game for the Panthers.
After Adolphson’s triple, Rodney Gunther, who also had a two-run double, walked. Craig Jackson then rapped an RBI single, and Gunther then scored on an error. Adolphson also had two singles.
Pierce Wingman doubled, singled and scored three runs for the Dragons.
