Put on your shoes and head to downtown

Bangor today for a peek, inside and out, at 11 old friends. A 21/2-mile walking tour of 10 churches and one synagogue will reveal some of their secrets and histories. Plus, any donations will go toward supporting the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter. Start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Hammond Street Congregational Church. A musical finale is planned at the tour’s

conclusion inside St. John’s Catholic Church.
