Taylor captures Oxford pro stock

OXFORD – Jeff Taylor of Norridgewock coasted his way to a win in the pro stock division Sunday at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Taylor led the entire race despite trouble during practice and qualifying sessions.

Topsham’s Bill Whorff, Jr. finished second and Kevin Kimball of South Portland came in third. Carthage’s Tommy Tompkins finished fourth. Brad Hammond of Turner finished in fifth.

McKeage hangs on for win

At Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough Sunday, Dan McKeage of Gorham held off Old Orchard Beach’s Bill Rodgers to pick up a win in the NASCAR Pro Series.

David Oliver of Scarborough finished in third place. Gorham’s Joey Pastore was fourth Phil Baril, Jr. of Haverhill, Mass. finished fifth.
