LEWISTON – Cami Dyson went 5-for-7 and Erin Foye 5-for-8 Tuesday to help lead Bates College to 6-4 and 7-0 softball victories over Saint Joseph’s College of Windham.
In the first game, Foye’s two-run single provided the winning and insurance run. She and Dyson combined for five hits and two RBIs.
Deborah Bain went 5-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for the Monks.
In the second game, Krissie Whiting had a double, two singles, two stolen bases and an RBI. She also threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk to lead the Bobcats.
Foye had two singles and a home run for three RBIs. Brooke Tardiff had two singles and an RBI.
For the Monks, Darcy Lee and Kahler Dowling each singled for the only hits.
