BAR HARBOR – Robbie Pushard singled twice and drove in two runs to lead the Bucksport Golden Bucks to a 7-3 high school baseball win over the Mount Desert Island Trojans Saturday.
Jake Knight hit an RBI double for Bucksport and Andy Wentworth struck out six for the win.
David Muise led the Trojans with a triple and a single. Matt Grover singled twice and Justin Garver hit an RBI double. Arswhin Asgeus struck out nine in the loss.

At Ellsworth, Brandon Croan drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the eighth that scored Matt Carey and gave the Ponies the win.
Carey also doubled for the Ponies. Josh Withee collected three singles, a double and an RBI. Jason Weymouth went the distance and struck out 10.
Matt Wood stroked a two-run single to lead the Eagles and Garrett Hardison added two singles.

At Millinocket, Ryan Bouchard and Adam Qualey combined on a one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts between them as the Minutemen cruised.
Bouchard struck out eight and allowed no hits in three innings of work, while Qualey scattered just one hit and fanned four in two innings.
Bouchard helped his cause at the plate with an RBI single for the winners. Matt Barnett singled, doubled and knocked in a run. Matt Wark had two singles and two RBIs, and Matt Leino added two singles.

Hermon takes two from Caribou
At Hermon, the Hawks defeated Caribou in a pair of games winning the first game 9-1 and taking the second 5-4.
In the first game, Joey Schatt pitched a one-hitter while allowing just one run and striking out 11 batters.
Jason Shorey hit a two-run homer in the first inning to get the scoring started for Hermon. Matt Joy had two triples, a single and two RBIs while Joseia Curtis added two singles and three RBIs.
Ryan St. Peter had a double for Caribou’s lone hit.
In the second game, Joy had two singles and an RBI as well as plating what proved to be the winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a fielder’s choice.
Schatt sent home two runners on a double and two singles while Ron Lane chipped in with an RBI double.
Justin Sulfridge and John Chasse hit two singles apiece for the Caribou effort.

At Brewer, the Warriors combined five base hits with two walks and two Brewer errors to score seven runs in the first inning en route to the win.
Alex Sawyer had two singles for Nokomis of Newport.
Zac Bouzan-Kaloustian had a double, single and drove in a run while Shawn Sutherland had two singles and an RBI and J.T. Davis singled twice for Brewer.

Dylan Johnson had a double and an RBI for Sumner of East Sullivan. Matt Smith also doubled for the Tigers.

Old Town, Presque Isle split
At Old Town, Old Town split a pair of games with Presque Isle on Saturday, losing the first game 5-4 then winning the nightcap 6-3.
In the first game, Dani Grenier hit a two run double to help give Presque Isle the edge they needed to defeat Old Town.
Mary Wollstadt had two singles and two RBIs for the Inidians.
In the second game, Monica Hussey drove in two runners with two singles and a double while Liz Saucier added a single and a double for two RBIs for Old Town. Sara Jones chipped in with two singles and an RBI.
Katie Delong hit a double and a triple for the Wildcat effort while Grenier chipped in with a double.

Hermon sweeps Caribou
At Hermon, the Hawks treated their visitors from the north rudely, taking 19-4 and 17-5 wins from the Vikings.
In the first game, Cassie White had two doubles, two singles and drove in six runs. Erika Joy doubled and singled twice while Rachel Nightingale and Morgan Burr had three singles each for Hermon.
Christy Zbylut and Makayo Daghar had a single apiece for Caribou.
In the second game, Kristen Hart had a double, single and drove in two runs while Sara Winningham had two singles and an RBI and Nightingale had three singles and drove in a run for the Hawks.
Makayla Gahagan and Stephanie Schofield singled for the Vikings.

At Rockport, Katie Ross and Morgan Crandall each had a home run as the Lions cruised passed the Windjammers.
Crandall’s homer cleared the center field field in the fourth inning. She added a double and finished with five runs batted in. Ross’ home run was over the fence in left center field and came with a runner on.
Lauren Overlock had a double and a single for Belfast.
Allison Ettinger had a double and two singles, Callie Kapuszinski doubled and singled while Carmen Furzetting had a double and Caitlin Brown doubled and drove in a run for Camden Hills.

Central sweeps Schenck
At East Millinocket, Central defeated Schenck in both games of a doubleheader, winning the first game 20-5 and taking the second 6-1.
In the first game, Jenny Rollins hit four singles and a double to help pace the Central offense in the win.
Traci Underhill contributed with three singles.
Brittany Jacobs had two singles for the Schenck effort.
In the second game, Lindsey Mitchell had a double, two singles and two runs for Central while Rollins helped out with two singles and a double.
Jessica Day had two single for Schenck while Melissa Rideout pitched 12 complete innings on the day and allowed no walks.
