MARS HILL – Bryan Grew gave up only one earned run, two hits, and three walks while striking out five to lead the Central Aroostook Panthers to a 6-4 high school baseball victory over the Hodgdon Hawks Monday.

Kyle Larrabee hit a RBI double for the Panthers and Adam Crew and Brandon Hallett each had a RBI single.

Bruce Carey had a double with a RBI and Jeff Condon singled for Hodgdon.

At Sherman Station, Cameron Cunningham gave up only one run, seven hits, and two walks while striking out seven to lead Katahdin to its first win.

Frank Grass hit a pair of doubles and a single with two RBIs for the Cougars. Chad Smith and Cunningham each had two singles with a RBI.

Allan O’Clair doubled and singled for the Hornets and Buck Pineau had two singles.

At Fort Kent, Tyler Hews and Mike Corbin combined on a four-hitter in six innings as Hews gave up only one hit while striking out six in three innings while Hews struck out two.

Tyler LaPierre and Matt Gagnon each hit a two-run home run for the Crusaders.

Adam Jandreau doubled, singled and drove in a run for the Warriors.

At Limestone, Southern Aroostook’s Jeff Boutilier and John Bouchard combined to no-hit the Eagles in five innings.

Boutilier struck out five and walked one in three innings and Bouchard struck out four and didn’t allow a walk.

Corey Shields paced the Warriors of Dyer Brook with a two-run home run. Adam Anderson chipped in with three singles and Zack Austin doubled and singled.

At Eastport, Wes Ellington hit a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to lift the Tigers to the win.

Ellington’s hit plated Jason Bones, who had been intentionally walked to get to Ellington. James Macdonald singled and hit an RBI triple. Darrin Constant hit three singles and drove in a run. Josh Francis doubled and singled.

Ryan Harmon led the Tigers of East Machias with an RBI double and an RBI single. Steve Colbeth hit a two-run double and Jarod Gray singled twice. Reo Kawai singled and added an RBI double.

At Lee, Darin Spack hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning to lead the Pirates.

Tyler Tracy had a three-run triple for the Pirates of Guilford. Darin Macomber and Mike Burnett each hit a pair of doubles.

Jeremy Ham had a RBI double for Lee Academy.

At Thorndike, a throwing error and a Kenton Spaulding RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh scored the tying and winning runs for the Mount View Mustangs.

Jeff Philbrook led the offensive with two singles and a run. Shane Eddy pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Rockland’s Adam Ross also had a three-hitter (six strikeouts, two walks) and led the offense with a triple, single, and RBI.
