MOUNT DESERT – Winning pitcher Andy Pooler’s leadoff double triggered a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh that gave Mount Desert Island a come-from-behind 6-5 baseball win over John Bapst of Bangor Thursday.

An error and Donnie Mace’s RBI single pulled MDI within 5-4, two walks forced in the tying run and an error allowed the winning run to score.

Matt Grover had two singles and two RBIs for MDI.

Josh Keefe and Cole McElwain had RBI singles for John Bapst.

At Bangor, Chase Ossinger hit three singles and drove in two runs, complimenting a three-hit, eight strikeout performance on the mound as the Patriots came out on top.

Josh Frost and Anthony Cole each had two singles and two RBIs for the winners, and Brady Harriman added two singles.

Matt Charette doubled for the Cougars of Sherman Station. Paul Lovett and Frank Grass had a single apiece.

At Newport, Kyle Dalton fired a one-hitter and singled twice to lead the Broncos past Nokomis.

Ian Lee and Pat Moran laced a double each for Hampden. Jason Hanthy doubled, singled and knocked in two runs.

Mike Jacques had a single for the Warriors.

At East Sullivan, James Ramsdell doubled and scored a run as the Raiders prevailed.

Corey Colbeth hit a double for the winners of East Machias. Nick Wood singled in a run, Jared Gray singled and scored a run, Mike Morrell had two singles and two RBIs, and Steven Colbeth added two singles.

Jay Rueber rapped an RBI single for the Tigers. Matt Smith knocked a double, and Dylan Johnson singled.

At Hermon, Asa Jones knocked in four runs with a double, single and a sacrifice fly and Ellsworth scored in every inning except the first.

Seth Mayo had a triple and two singles and an RBI for Ellsworth and Chase Buckingham drove in two runs with a single, walk and sacrifice fly.

Ron Lane doubled and singled for Hermon and Joseia Curtis had two singles.

At Harrington, Nick Dakin, Jerod Kronholm and Matt Nickerson combined on a three-hitter to give the Vikings their fifth win.

Each pitcher gave up one run and one hit.

Dan Rainey ripped a two-run double and Drew Mercier added a two-run single in Searsport’s four-run sixth inning. Mercier also tripled.

Joe Leighton cranked an RBI double and Sean Reynolds had an RBI single for the Knights.

Cory Worcester was the hard-luck loser as he had a no-hitter through four innings before giving up four hits while striking out eight and walking five.

At Bangor, Amber Leathers collected three singles, two RBIs and scored two more runs to lead the Patriots to the win.

Danielle Miller had three singles with an RBI for the winners and Monique Veilleux knocked three singles, drove in a run and scored a pair.

K.C. Duffy-Stanley sparked the Cougars of Sherman Station with two doubles, a single and two runs scored. Allison Arbo hit three singles, and Michelle Martin had two singles and drove in a run.

At Harrington, Taralee Webster tossed a one-hitter, striking out nine and walking five as the Vikings edged the Knights.

The game was played in Harrington due to poor field conditions in Searsport.

Megan Porter drove in the games only run when second inning single scored Sarah Cook. Lindsey Seekins had a pair of singles for Searsport.

Elise Dublin had Narraguagus’ only hit, a lead-off single to start the game.

At Hermon, Holly Tripp had three singles as Ellsworth got past Hermon.

Rachel Nightingale, Cassie White, Leslie Kinghorn and Erica Joy each singled for the Hawks.

At Mount Desert, Nia Megquier tossed a three-hitter, striking out two and walking four, to pitch MDI past John Bapst of Bangor.

Bracey Barker, Jennifer Wright and Abbie Chapman each doubled and singled for the Trojans with Barker and Wright collecting an RBI apiece.

Rebecca Stevens doubled for John Bapst.

At East Sullivan, Rachel Robinson knocked in the winning run in the sixth with a sacrifice for the Tigers.

Jackie Danico tied it up with an RBI double in the same inning. Meghan Ruhlin had two singles with an RBI for Sumner. Jessie Daley knocked two singles and a double, and Jenay Tucker added two singles and an RBI.

Stephanie Almendinger knocked two singles and a double for the Raiders of East Machias. Ashley Day had two singles, and Daphne Nichols a double.
