UNITY – Deer Isle’s Matt Eaton slipped past Ed Drake of Vassalboro in the first lap of the Super Sportsman and led unchallenged for the rest of the way to pick up his first career win at Unity Raceway Saturday.
China’s J.J. Wentworth took second place and Joe Ritchey of Fairfield was third. Mike Hodgkins of Jefferson finished fourth and Drake came in fifth.

Babb rallies for win
At Scarborough, Bobby Babb of Windham used a late-race surge to record a win in the NASCAR Pro Series at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Saturday night.
Babb inched past Jeff Morgan of Saco, and then Rick Frenette of Waterboro, to take the lead for good. Frenette finished second and Morgan was third. Bill Rodgers of Old Orchard Beach was fourth and Fryeburg’s Brockie Gerry came in fifth.

Santerre finishes second
At Stafford Springs, Conn., Andy Santerre of Cherryfield took second place behind Martin Truex Jr. in the New England Dodge Dealers NASCAR 150 Friday night at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Santerre started the race in 11th place but got to the front after a pit stop near the halfway point and took over second place with seven laps to go.
With the second, Santerre extended his points lead in the Busch North Series to 41 over Joey McCarthy.
Winterport Dragway
At Winterport, home town racer Robin Reynolds made the most of racing in the friendly confines of Winterport Dragway and held off Bucksport’s Jennifer Davenport to win the Ladies Day Race on Mothers’ Day.
