ASHLAND – Megan McLaughlin drove in two runs on three singles as her Southern Aroostook Warriors of Dyer Brook outslugged Ashland 15-14 in softball action Tuesday.

Carmen McLaughlin doubled, singled and knocked in a pair for Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook. Nicki Lyons added a triple and two singles.

Pam Spooner had two singles and three RBIs to lead Ashland. Amber Smith collected a double, single and two RBIs, and Beth Chamberlain chipped in three singles.

At Fort Fairfield, Kaylee Searles hit a double and a single with two RBIs to lead the Tigers past the Hawks.

Maranda Butler doubled and singled for Fort Fairfield and Brooke McCrum had a RBI single.

Tasha Dwyer hit a pair of singles for Hodgdon.

At Jonesport, run-scoring singles by Jaime Cassell, Roliza DeWitt and Celia Cummings highlighted a 12-run seventh-inning rally that wiped out a 10-4 deficit and gave Shead of Eastport its first win.

Cummings finished with two singles and three RBIs for Shead, Samantha Davis doubled and singled and Cassell singled twice.

Monique Emerson had a double and two singles and drove in two runs for Jonesport-Beals and Naomi Chandler and Jody Pinkham each tripled. Chandler had two RBIs.

At Lee, Ashlee Gifford pounded out three singles and a double with one RBI as the Pandas rolled.

Kristin Hersom hit a double and a single and finished with three RBIs for Lee. Jessie Kuester singled twice and drove in two runs, and Brittany Mallett hit a double and a single to go with two RBIs.

Amanda Woodruff led the Dragons with two singles. Gena Clark and Kati Holmes each added two singles.

At Dexter, the Tigers rallied in the bottom of the seventh, scoring two runs on an error and another on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch for their 10th win.

Nikki Chapman scored the winning run when Cindy Koscielny was hit by a pitch. Sarah Wyman and Amanda Pullen each had an RBI single. Sarah Carnes fanned eight and walked eight.

Heather Anthony recorded a pinch-hit single to lead off the seventh for the Patriots of Milo, who scored two of their three runs on an error in the seventh.

At Hermon, Kristen Oakes pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts as the Hawks soared.

Rachel Nightingale rapped a two-run double and a two-run single for Hermon. Lauren Fornier had two singles with three RBIs, Kristen Hart collected a single, a double and two RBIs, and Erica Joy added a triple and a single.

At Bucksport, Emily McLaughlin smacked a bases-loaded double in the seventh, accounting for three of the Witches’ four runs in the inning as they rallied from a 6-4 deficit to hand Bucksport its first loss.

McLaughlin also singled for Brewer, and Carolyn McAvoy added two singles and an RBI.

Brittany Damon had two singles, a double and knocked in three runs to lead the Golden Bucks. Jill Richards singled twice and drove in two runs.

At Fort Fairfield, Derek Nickerson fired a one-hitter, scattering just one run and striking out 10 as the Hawks rolled.

Jimmy Griffin had two singles with two RBIs and Jeff Condon added two singles with an RBI to spark Hodgdon. Dale Foley had two singles.

Aaron Kenneson singled for the Tigers.

At Ashland, Jeff Boutilier, Corey Shields, and Adam Anderson combined to allow no runs, one hit, and four walks while striking out 11 to lead Southern Aroostook to the win.

Anderson tripled and singled to knock in three runs for the Warriors of Dyer Brook and Zack Austin had two singles. Corey Edkins hit three singles with a RBI and Jarred Grant doubled and singled.

Kenny Lewin hit an infield single in the third inning for Ashland.

At Lee, Chad Pike worked his way out of two bases-loaded, no-out jams in the final two innings as the Dragons held off the Pandas.

Jesse Cross hit an RBI double for Woodland. Aaron Moody had two singles, and Darren Ripley added a single and a double.

Tyler Thompson belted a two-run homer and Nate Dow smacked a two-run double to lead Lee. Gerry Worster laced and RBI double, and Jeremy Ham singled twice.

Mike Curtis tripled and singled to knock in a run for Rockland and Josh Davis had a pair of singles with a RBI.

At Bucksport, Dow Cain scored the winning run with no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning.

The play began with the Golden Bucks having loaded the bases. With the ball hit on the ground to a drawn in shortstop, Cain raced in from third base and jarred the ball free from the catcher giving Bucksport the win.

Josh Jackson had a double and two singles for Bucksport.

Matt Sargent had three singles, Kevin McAvoy had a double, two singles and drove in a run and Zak Bouzan-Kaloustian plated three teammates with a double.

At Dexter, Tim McCarthy laced a three-run triple that keyed a six-run fourth inning for the Tigers.

Justin Allen racked up four singles and knocked in a pair for the Patriots of Milo while brother Jordan had two singles and two RBIs.
