Advanced Training

CAMP LEJEUNE, N. C. – Marine Corps Pfc. Andrew G. Crane, son of Cathy M. and David K. Crane of Bangor, recently completed the basic electrician’s course.

During the course at Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N. C., students receive instruction on the repair and maintenance of generators, transformers and power lines. Studies also include circuitry, electrical theory and related safety procedures.

Crane is a 2002 graduate of Bangor High School and joined the Marine Corps in August 2002.

Deployment

Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Mark L. Gray completed a six-month deployment to Schinnen, Netherlands, where he was providing force protection in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Gray’s military occupational specialty is wheeled vehicle repairer. He will return to his regularly assigned National Guard unit, Bravo Company, 228th Forward Support Battalion in Bethlehem, Pa. He has 10 years of military service.

As a civilian, Gray is employed with Advanced Environmental Recycling Corporation in Allentown, Pa.

Gray is the son of Dalton E. Gray of Dixmont and VerDonna McDougal of Hartford. He is a 1981 graduate of Nokomis Regional High School, Newport.

Basic training

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Christopher Rodway has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. A 2002 graduate of Brewer High School, he is the son of Charles and Hope Rodway of Brewer.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Paul Harriman has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. A 2000 graduate of Brewer High School, he is the son of Celeste Harriman of Brewer.
