CALAIS – Jamie Doliber drove in three runs with a triple and a single Thursday afternoon as the Calais softball team jumped out to a big lead and then held off a late Lee Academy rally for the 12-10 win.

Jessica Whittaker had an RBI on a double and a single while Alyssa Thomas and Chrissy Driscoll added two singles apiece.

Samantha Cole had two doubles and a single for and RBI while Jessie Kuester hit three singles for an RBI. Jackie Moors sent home two runners on a triple and a single.

At Belfast, Melissa Gray had two singles as well as an RBI in the bottom of the eighth inning to send home Morgan Crandall and give Belfast the win.

Crandall added a triple and a double while Danielle Mayer and Angela Marden each had two-run hits in the fourth inning.

Karla Emerson hit a single and a double for Erskine while Brittany Oxley chipped in with an RBI double. Kellie Gerard helped out with a triple.

At Danforth, Naomi Chander had a home run, three singles and two runs batted in as the Royalettes rolled past the Vikings.

Sara Hunkler had a triple, single and drove in four runs, Starr Look doubled and had two singles and three RBIs and Jody Pinkham doubled, had two singles and drove in two runs for Jonesport-Beals.

Chantell Parker had a single in the first inning for East Grand.

At Orono, Michelle Murray scored on Lindsey Welch’s two-out single to right field in the top of the eighth inning as the Warriors edged the Red Riots.

Amy Paradis had a double, single and RBI and Welch finished with two singles and a run batted in for Nokomis of Newport.

Michelle Nickerson had a double and an RBI and Baylee Cherkis singled in a run for Orono.

At Harrington, Daphne Nichols’ two-run double in the fourth keyed a seven-run inning and the Raiders went on to the win over the Knights.

Nichols added a double, two singles and two more runs batted in to her total.

Erica Mann doubled, singled twice and drove in two runs, while Elise Dublin had a pair of doubles and Kiki Simmons picked up an RBI on two singles.

Chelsey NiCastro paced the Lynx of Lincoln with three singles and an RBI. Kasse Brown singled twice and knocked in a run, and Kristi McKinnon hit two singles.

At the Husson College field in Bangor, Gwen Wadleigh pitched a six-hitter, striking out eight and walking two, and Ashley Cluff knocked in two runs with a triple and a single to pace John Bapst of Bangor.

Jill Mitchell also had a triple and a single and she drove in one run.

Lauren Fournier had three singles for Hermon and Shannon Wiggin singled twice. Kristen Oakes pitched well in defeat, allowing six hits and three walks while striking out eight.

Cheryl Morris had two singles and Ashley Ireland hit two singles and knocked in a run to lead Hampden. Amy Ryder and Danielle Billings had a single each.

At Rockland, Adam Ross’ single to right plated Josh Davis in the bottom of the ninth to lift the Tigers past the Black Raiders.

Davis had walked and later went to second on a Wade Oliver infield single. Ross finished with two singles and two RBIs while striking out 13 and walking three in a complete-game effort. Oliver and Mike Curtis each hit two singles. Justin Kirk doubles and drove in two runs.

Taylor Helberg powered Winslow with two home runs and a single for three RBIs. Ricky Vigue and Dave Hamann each added a double.

Scott Macdonald had two singles and two RBIs for Calais and Jon King had a double and an RBI.

Chris Pease gave up a leadoff single on the first pitch of the game, but didn’t give up a hit the rest of the way. He fanned 15 and walked two. Kyle Dalton, who doubled, provided an inning of hitless relief. Kevin Brooks doubled and singled for Hampden.

Matt Sargent recorded the first-inning single for Brewer.
