HOULTON – Natasha Ritchie belted hit five singles and drove in five runs as Houlton unleashed a 21-hit attack to cap a schoolgirl softball sweep of visiting Fort Kent 23-12 Friday.
Houlton won the first game 3-2.
In the first game, Ritchie gave up no earned runs, two hits, and four walks while striking out 12 in notching the win. Anna Lenentine hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. Vallerie Lenentine hit two singles and Rebecca Skehan tripled.
Nicole Saucier and Melissa Morneault both singled for Fort Kent.
In the second game, Anna Lenentine had three singles and a double with three RBIs for Houlton. Aimee Guy hit a pair of singles with three RBIs and Kasey Cleary had three singles.
Mindy Morneault hit a grand slam in the first inning for Fort Kent. Ashley Desjardins and Jessica Nadeau both hit two singles with two RBIs.

At Houlton, Jordan Hill pitched a four-hitter in the opener and Corey Lewis, Ben Pierce and Jeff Lenentine teamed up on a three-hitter in the nightcap.
In the first game, the opener, Hill struck out six and walked one and Erik O’Connell sparked an 11-hit attack with a double, two singles and three RBIs.
Ben Tweedie drove in three runs with a pair of singles and Andy Brown also singled twice and knocked in a run.
Jared Boucher had an RBI single for Fort Kent.
In the nightcap, Ben Pierce’s two-run triple highlighted a seven-run fourth inning rally that broke open a close game.

At Guilford, Dan Macomber’s two-run double and an error on the play produced three runs as Piscataquis Community High School of Guilford built a 7-3 lead and withstood a seventh-inning rally to avenge a loss to the Tigers earlier this season.
PCHS erased a 3-0 deficit with four runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead for good on Josh Luellen’s two-run single and RBI singles from Darin Speck and Mike Burnett.
Tyler Tracy doubled and singled for Piscataquis with Luellen and winning pitcher Speck contributing two singles apiece.
Adam Russell had three singles and an RBI for Dexter and Chris Rabideau had an RBI single while also pitching four-plus innings of shutout relief.
