Fuller cruises to Pro Stock victory

UNITY – Dean Fuller of Albion held off a charge from Norridgewock’s Scott Albee to take the win in the Maine State Lottery Pro Stock main event on Saturday night.

Matt Lee of Albion finished third, Steven Nelson also of Albion was fourth, and Benton’s Robert Green rounded out the top five.

Wiscasset Raceway

At Wiscasset, Allen Moeller of Dresden took the lead early and never looked back to become the fifth different winner in five races in the Strong Chevrolet Modified division on Friday night. Stetson’s Wayne Allard finished second, Duane Love of West Gardiner was third, Turner’s Ben Rowe was fourth, and Appleton’s Jason Taylor fifth.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

At Scarborough, Jackie Roussel of Portland took the lead from Windham’s Billy Thompson and led all the way to the checkers to take his first NASCAR Pro Series win on Saturday night. Bill Rodgers of Old Orchard Beach took second, Windham’s Bobby Babb was third, David Oliver of Scarborough took fourth, and fifth was Gorham’s Dan McKeage.

Winterport Dragway

Robin Reynolds came away with wins in three divisions Sunday afternoon.

The Winterport resident won the Pro Street/Strictly Street final defeating Chuck Maguire of Orono. He also beat Bob Reynolds of Winterport for the Pro Street trophy and Maguire again in the Street Trophy division.

Busch North Series

At North East, Pa., Cherryfield’s Andy Santerre started in 11th spot and worked his way to the front and passed Mike Stefanik on lap 86 to win the Dodge Dealers 150 at Lake Erie Speedway in the NASCAR Busch North Series. It’s Santerre’s second win of the season and extends his point lead over Coventry, R.I.’s Stefanik.
