SOUTHWEST HARBOR – A public forum to stop local drug trafficking and drug abuse will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Pemetic School Gymnasium.

The forum, titled “Not in Our Town,” will present guest speakers, including: Jill Goldthwait, former state senator from Bar Harbor; Roy McKinney, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency director, Augusta; Mary D’Alessandro of Acadia Family Center, Southwest Harbor; Assistant Attorney General Matthew Erickson of Bangor; Dan Johnson of Acadia Hospital, Bangor; Chief David Tims and Lt. David Chapais, Southwest Harbor Police Department; Barbara Royal, Open Door Recovery Center, Ellsworth; and District Court Judge John Romei, Washington County.

The forum is sponsored by the Acadia Family Center, the MDI Alcohol and Drug Abuse Group, and the Southwest Harbor Board of Selectmen.
