The Maine House soundly rejected a bill Wednesday that would give gun owners a second chance if their requests for concealed weapons permits are turned down at the local level.

The bill, LD 1110, would allow applicants who are turned down by their municipal officials to appeal to the state police for concealed weapons permits.
