AUGUSTA – Major Gen. Joseph E. Tinkham, II, head of the Maine Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management, issued a reminder Thursday to fly the Maine and U.S. flags at half staff on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26.

The flags should be displayed at half staff from sunrise to noon only, at which time they should again be raised to full staff.
