ASHLAND – Kyle Corey had four singles and three RBIs to help lead the Washburn Beavers past Ashland 15-11 in baseball action Friday.
Lucas Hafford had three singles and two RBIs, Jason Thompson three singles, and Seth Melton two singles and two RBIs for the Beavers.
Allan O’Clair led the Hornets with a double and a single. Buck Pineau had two singles and two RBIs.

At St. Agatha, Tyler Hews notched eight strikeouts in four innings and Jeremy Chasse went 4-for-5 with two home runs and two singles.
Chasse had a two-run homer in the first and a solo homer in the fourth. Dustin Cyr hit a two-run homer in the fifth and tripled for the Crusaders. Matt Gagnon hit a solo homer in the first and singled.
Jeff Paradis hit an RBI single and Jeff Pelletier’s single was the only other hit for the host Pioneers.

At Houlton Thursday night, Nick Simon smacked a bases-loaded triple in the top of the seventh to tie the game, and he later scored the game-winning run as the Minutemen rallied.
Simon added another RBI single for Stearns of Millinocket, which took advantage of nine walks and nine errors.
Jon Weston doubled, singled and drove in a run in the sixth for the Shiretowners. Andy Brown hit two singles. Corey Lewis and Jordan Hill combined to allow just five hits.

At Machias, Machias’ Todd Stevens drove Scott Brokaw home with the game-winning run by tripling in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Stevens gave up only two earned runs, four hits, and four walks while striking out 10 batters for Machias. He also hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning, tripled, and had two singles. Ed St. Pierre and Brokaw each had two singles and Nate Poore hit a RBI single.
Corey Colbeth had a double and single for Washington Academy of East Machias and Mike Marzoll doubled.

Josh Gallant had three RBIs on three singles while Jesse Johnson hit two homes for two RBIs. Nick Arthers added a solo home run while Matt Welch and Paul Herman chipped in with two singles apiece.
Wade Oliver led the Rockland effort with a solo home run and a two-run double.

At Ashland, Pam Spooner gave up just one earned run and one hit while striking out eight to help lead Ashland to the win.
Spooner hit two home runs and a single with six RBIs for the Hornets. Pam Bennett had a two-run homer, double, and a single with three RBIs and Cora Campbell hit a triple and two singles with two RBIs.
Jamie Abar hit a triple in the fourth inning for the Beavers.

At Limestone, Nikki Michaud pitched a two-hit game and allowed only two runs while striking out seven batters to help lead the Eagles to the win.
Vicki Mulherin sent home three runners on a single and a double while Ashley Posed had two singles and two RBIs. Jacinda St. Pierre hit a two-run single for Limestone while Ashley Brooker chipped in with a single, a double and an RBI.
Alicia Rideout had a double for the Central Aroostook effort while Jessica Grew hit a single.

Melissa Gray hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning and a single with five total RBIs for Belfast. Danielle Mayer hit two doubles and a single with four RBIs and Lauren Overlock tripled.
Stacia Matthews hit a single in the fourth inning for Rockland.
