ASHLAND – Cora Campbell’s two-run homer highlighted a seven-run sixth inning that secured Ashland High School’s 13-6 schoolgirl softball victory over Katahdin High of Sherman Station Tuesday.

Campbell finished with three RBIs, Amber Smith added a solo homer in the third and also had three RBIs, Angela Belskis posted a double, a single, and an RBI, and Pam Bennett added two singles and two RBIs. Pam Spooner picked up the win.

Krystle McMoarn tripled for the Cougars of Sherman Station. Brandy Violette and Sara Charette contributed RBI singles.

At Hodgdon, Amanda Fitzpatrick ripped two homers while Shanna McGary smacked a two-run job as the Hawks rolled.

Alicia Little had three singles and drove in five runs for the winners, and Erin Foster chipped in with two doubles.

Sam Brewer crushed a solo homer and tripled for the Panthers of Mars Hill. Andi Long doubled and singled.

At Madawaska, Rosa Londono knocked in two runs with a single as the Owls earned the upset win.

Ashley Pelletier hit a two-run double for the Warriors and Ashley Desjardins added a double and a single.

At Van Buren, Danielle Gagnon swiped home in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap a comeback that started with a seven-run third inning and a 12-0 deficit.

Gagnon keyed the inning with a two-run homer. She also tripled and singled. Lisa Levassuer singled twice and doubled for Van Buren.

Amber Voisine smacked a three-run homer to lead the Pioneers of St. Agatha.

At Washburn, Ashley Brooker laced two singles and knocked in three runs to lead the Eagles past the Beavers.

At Searsport Monday, Renee Trafton had a triple, a double and a single with three RBIs to help lead Central of Corinth to victory.

Shauna Smith notched the win for the Red Devils by scattering five hits and striking out 11 while not allowing a walk. Shawna Bell and Traci Underwood each added a double.

Pitcher TaraLee Webster led the Searsport effort with two singles, 11 strikeouts and no walks while Theresa Cameron and Sheila Wilbur hit an RBI single each.

A seven-run sixth inning by Bangor Christian shut the door on Deer Isle-Stonington

Alyssa Libby led the offense with a two-run double. Amber Leathers and Monique Veilleux each had three singles with an RBI. Danielle Miller hit two singles and knocked in a pair, and Laura Hamm added a double.

Hollan Oliver, Lacy Greenlaw and Meghan Wibery had a single each for the Mariners.

Amanda Martin doubled and singled for Penquis and Michelle Mulherin hit a RBI single in the third inning.

Seth Milton backed Carter with a two-run home run and RBI single. Dan Harris chipped in with a double and two RBIs and Kyle Corey had a two-run single.

Justin Michaud and Jason Bouchard had two singles apiece for Wisdom of St. Agatha.

At Ashland, Matt Saucier knocked in Buck Pineau in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Ashland the win.

Brandon Millett had three singles with two RBIs for the Hornets. Pineau had two singles with two RBIs and Jared Jandreau also hit a pair of singles.

Alex McAvoy hit two singles with two RBIs for Katahdin and Gabe Hrynick had two singles with a RBI.

At Madawaska, Peter Gerard’s triple in the bottom of the eighth delivered Billy Roy, who had reached on an error, to provide the Owls with the triumph.

Madawaska had forced extra innings by scoring in the bottom of the seventh on Shawn Boucher’s single and stolen base and an error.

Gerard had a single to go with his triple and drove in three runs; Eric Gendreau doubled and singled and had two RBIs; Boucher doubled and singled twice and Roy had three base hits. Freshman Paul Roy picked up the win in relief.

Gib Michaud tripled and singled and drove in three runs for Fort Kent while Tom Desjardins and J.J. Pinette each doubled and singled.

At Bucksport, Adam Sheehan scattered one run on three hits over five innings with 11 strikeouts as the Golden Bucks triumphed.

Sheehan also singled twice for Bucksport. Marcus Boober and Robbie Pushard each had two singles with two RBIs, and Josh Jackson added two singles.

Alex Means, Pat Healy and Dan Leighton had a single apiece for the Crusaders of Bangor.

At Corinth, righty Justin Allen fired a two-hitter, striking out three and walking two, and doubled home the only run he was to need in the first inning.

Allen also had a single, Colby Chase singled twice and Chuck Wooton had an RBI double.

Greenville wins two

At Windham, the Greenville Lakers took two from Windham Christian, both 12-1 decisions.

In the first game, Dan Campbell homered, doubled and knocked in four runs.

Justin Dore’s RBI double was Windham Christian’s lone hit.

In the second game, Griz Aucoin walloped a pair of homers, a double and plated four runs as the Lakers earned the sweep.

Scott Lavigne laced a two-run triple for Greenville and Richard Folsom doubled.

Dore was again Windham Christian’s lone hitter with a single.
