MILO – Principal John Robinson of Penquis Valley High School in Milo has announced honors for the Class of 2003.

Jean Hamlin, daughter of Neil and Barbara Hamlin of Milo, was named valedictorian. She will attend Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.

She has been active in the Key Club, State Science Fair, school band and newspaper, and the National Honor Society. She participated in varsity soccer, basketball and softball, and served as treasurer and president of the student council.

Melissa Madden, daughter of Ernie and Yvonne Madden of Milo, was named salutatorian. She will attend Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.

Katie, as she is known, has been involved with the State Science Fair and the National Honor Society.
