I moved to my current home on the Clark Hill Road three years ago. I moved my family here because of the peaceful and quiet area that my home is located in. I can stand on my deck in the morning and hear nothing but the sounds of birds and see the deer that frequently pass through my property. I can stand on my deck at night and hear nothing except the singing of the frogs.
All of this will be destroyed, as the 3EIK-2 connector-route option will be located within a quarter mile of my home. No longer will I be able to hear anything except the din of the highway located about 1,400 feet from my home.
I specifically did not purchase a home on a busy road, near the airport or near an existing highway or interstate. Now my property and my enjoyment of my property will be severely affected.
The suggestion of a connector road is wrong no matter where it will be placed. This area is made up of people who have chosen to live in a rural environment. No one should have the right to so drastically change this environment in which we have all chosen to live.
