BANGOR – The new Haskell-Stetson Fund at the Maine Community Foundation awarded more than $56,000 in grants in the Bangor Hydro service area:
. The Bangor Museum and Center for History, for an outreach presentation.
. Bangor Symphony Orchestra, “Know Your Orchestra!”
. The Couri Foundation, for a quilting project at Hammond Street Senior Center.
. Care Development of Maine, for an adoption program for special needs children.
. The Wabanaki Development Project in Old Town, to begin a Youth Build Program.
“We are honored to carry forth the philanthropic legacy of Robert Haskell and Gladys Stetson,” said Henry L. P. Schmelzer, MCF president.
