CARIBOU – The Aroostook Musterd Running Club, an organization dedicated to running and road racing, is accepting applications for a $500 scholarship to be given to a high school senior.

To be eligible, each applicant must be a resident of Aroostook County, demonstrate an interest in running by participating in road races, maintain high academic standards, submit an essay on a given topic and be enrolled in a post-secondary institution.

The scholarship will be awarded after the final race of the County Challenge Series, the Caribou Labor Day Race to be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 1 at Caribou High School.

Applications for the scholarship are due Aug. 16 and are available at local road races, local high school guidance offices or by contacting Carol McElwee at 54 Pioneer Ave., Caribou 04736.
